In episode 283 of “Have Guitar Will Travel”, presented by Vintage Guitar Magazine, host James Patrick Regan speaks with guitarist Midge Ure. In their conversation Midge discusses his upcoming tour with a full band and his role in the band and he tells us about his gear, Vintage Guitars and Fractal amps on a silent stage. Midge talks about his home in Portugal and how every room is potentially a home studio and he takes us through his childhood in Glasgow, Scotland. Midge describes how music entered his life through pirate radio as a kid and how he got his first guitar and his start in local bands. Midge takes us through his gear throughout the years and his love of technology and he tells us about his time in Thin Lizzy, Slik and how working in a music store led to him almost being a member of the Sex Pistols of which he later was in a band with Glen Matlock called Rich Kids.
