266 - Ryan Bingham In episode 266 of “Have Guitar Will Travel”, presented by Vintage Guitar Magazine, host James Patrick Regan speaks with singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham. In their conversation Ryan takes us through his musical history after his mother bought him a guitar at 16 and a friend of his father’s taught him malagueña from there he began improvising songs in the back of the truck when competing as a bull rider. Ryan takes us through playing bars in Texas and New Mexico and his rise in popularity playing rodeo events. Ryan discusses moving to Paris to perform in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show riding horses for two years and moving back and putting a band together and focusing on music playing anywhere they could. Ryan describes how a chance meeting with Marc Ford (from the Black Crowes) led to a recording deal and started his career.
