In their conversation the two take us through the first band name “Jake Karlik and the Idols” and the the current “Jake Karlik Band” and Ian tells us when he met Jake and they both tell us about living in Tulsa. The two talk about the bar scene in Tulsa and their residency at Maggie’s in Tulsa and Jake discusses his day job as an account manager for a chemical company. The two both tell us about their musical history and education and they take through their gear from the beginning through now. They talk about their label experiences currently on Horton Records and they describe being self managed and their single “the Mountain” from their self titled debut album. Finally the two tell us about their favorite guitar store and what they do for fun.
